TOEFL ITP®: Prep & Exam
FOR HEC PARIS PRE EXPERIENCE PROGRAM ONLY
INTRODUCTION
- Your first take of TOEFL ITP from ETS Global in HEC Paris is free of charge, from second time on you will need to pay a fee of 50€.
- You must have a valid ID (ID card or Passport for EU candidates – Passport for non-EU candidates), your student card, pencil, and eraser. No food or drinks are permitted in the exam room.
- We recommend to consult the Test Taker Handbook.
- Your TOEFL ITP® result will be available in your Student Portal within 2 or 3 weeks after your exam date, and you will have to collect your certificate at your school office.
RESOURCES
- Watch a video and learn more about the TOEFL ITP Guidelines in less than 1 mn.
- Book a 2-hour mock test in exam conditions at the Language Resource Center (Building L upper floor) during our opening hours (9:30-17:30, Tue to Thur) to get your score and help you to adapt your preparation. Contact us at language-center@hec.fr with your availability.
- Take a mock test at home to familiarize with the exam.
- Online practice to boost your score with Global Exam, level assessment, personalized training and mock tests.

- Borrow methods/books and train on grammar topics, vocabulary, sample exercices… Visit us at Language Resource Center (Building L upper floor) during our opening hours (9:30-17:30, Tue to Thur).
WAIVER
A waiver can be requested if you have proven English language proficiency certified by one of the following:
- TOEFL iBT: minimum 100 out of 120
- Cambridge: CAE B | BEC above B | CPE C
- IELTS: minimum 7 out of 9
- If you have completed a Bachelor’s in: Australia, Canada, Hong-Kong, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the USA.
Send your English language proficiency to your school office.
Please note that the waiver you are given by Academic Affairs is to fulfill the graduation requirements towards HEC. If you intend to apply for any international majors to study abroad in your M2, make sure to check on the International Programs’ intranet page the English language eligibility requirements (accepted tests, required scores and validity test dates) before applying for your M2.
