Grande Ecole Students: join us to take the TOEFL ITP at the Jouy-en-Josas campus!

Why take the TOEFL® ITP?

In the context of your academic career at HEC Paris, the TOEFL® ITP represents a major benchmark because a score of at least 600 out of 677 is required for graduation.
We offer you the opportunity to pass the TOEFL® ITP certification within our licensed test center in Jouy-en-Josas.

Each real test session is administered by ETS Global, official organization of the TOEFL® examinations.
Each registered candidate (under the following conditions, detailed below), will receive an official results report within 15 days following the test.
This document serves as proof of your level (according to the C.E.F.R. grid) and is valid up to two years after the test date. If you take the test during your academic year at HEC Paris, the results will be considered for your graduation (even after the validity period ends).

What are the requirement for taking the TOEFL® ITP test?

Grande Ecole Students,

In order to participate FOR FREE in the next real test session, you must
  • register for one of the test sessions offered below during your first academic year at HEC (unless if you are L3 – university track, in which case you must take the exam within the M1 year)
  • provide a valid photo ID
  • not have previously registered for a TOEFL® ITP session for which an official convocation was issued

If you are not in your first academic year at HEC Paris and/or you have already taken a real TOEFL® ITP test and/or you have been absent at a previous session, then you will be required to pay the exam fees (50,00 Euros all tax included). Any registration confirmed by an official convocation cannot be rescheduled or cancelled.

Note to Directly admitted Master in Management students

If you are a MiM student who has been admitted directly into the Master 1 year, and the Academic Affairs has confirmed your waiver for the English level requirement (you can check the procurement of the waiver on your online grade list), you do not need to take the TOEFL®. You do need to obtain one or the other, before the 31st of May of your M1 year.
You can be exempted from taking the test. For that, you need to receive permission the Academic Affairs office (access your waiver from your online grade list).
If you are not exempted, you must sign up for one of the sessions offered before May 31 of your M1 year.
