« Le français » for professional communication – 30h

French courses in groups (up to 20 students) with a professor

Tuesdays from 1 pm to 4.10 pm, or from 4.20 to 5.50 pm (10 sessions)

semester 1 (from September to December) and/ or semester 2 (from February to May)

  • mandatory:

    semester 1: Yes, if your level assessed from the placement test is below B2 (according to the C.E.F.R. grid). In the case your level is B2 or C1, this course is not mandatory but you are allowed to sign up (in this case, don’t hesitate to try the first two classes before making your choice)
    semester 2: No, but you can continue your learning experience started in the first semester

    Important!

    Attendance is mandatory to all classes (except for medical reasons, with supporting paperwork). In the case this course is not mandatory for you, you must cancel your registration by sending an email to language-center@hec.fr before the third scheduled class.

Intensive French language and culture seminar – 60h

Professional French course (taught in French) in group (up to 20 students) complemented with a French society course (taught in English). Both courses are presential with a professor.

Monday to Friday, on a three week basis
  • mandatory: Yes, if your last known level is below B1 (according to the C.E.F.R. grid) otherwise each request for participation is to be sent to language-center@hec.fr and will be examinated

    Important!

    For any registered student, attendance is mandatory to all classes (except for medical reasons, with supporting paperwork).

  • receivable ECTS credits: 0
  • evaluation: Pass or Fail (which will appear on your final transcript)
  • schedule for the next term: From January 7 to 25, 2019 (except on January 16, 23 and 24, 2019 because of the Alumni Forums and HEC Career fair)

 

French Society – 18h (taught in English)

Courses about contemporary French society, in groups (up to 20 students) with a professor

Tuesdays from 1 to 4.10 pm or from 4.20 to 7.30 pm (6 sessions)

semester 1 (from September to December) and/or semester 2 (from February to April)

  • mandatory: No (please do not hesitate to attend the first two classes as a test before making your final choice)
